Born and bred in the North West Province, Lizie completed her studies at the North West University (“NWU”) where she obtained the degrees B. Iuris and LL. B, both with distinction. An outstanding student from the outset, Lizie was the first person in the history of NWU ever to achieve a distinction in each of her LL. B subjects. She received a special commendation for this achievement and several others for best performer in a host of law subjects.

Lizie completed her articles of clerkship with a large firm in Pretoria. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1999, and soon thereafter as a conveyancer and notary public. She practised for several years in Pretoria and later for her own account in Potchefstroom before she joined Meyer, Van Sittert & Kropman as a partner in 2014.

Having obtained vast experience in the fields of property law and property transactions (and matters related thereto) over the past several years, Lizie now focuses on aspects of notarial practice, bond registration and in particular on conveyancing. She takes personal interest in each matter entrusted to her, endeavours to always add value and strives to render services that lead to returning clients.

In her spare time Lizie, an avowed animal lover, tends to her dogs and spends time with her family. She is an avid reader, particularly of contemporary fiction.
